I tried hooking it up multiple ways even just my iPod and still 1 freaking speaker. I am beyond disappointed tonight. I really hope Boston acoustics will replace it or woot will just have to give me my $ back and I prob won't be able to have great sound as they are sold out.

mine came missing a rubber foot, no cutout for mounting brackets, and loose optical connector.

called boston acoustics and they referred me to local repair contractor. both basically told me to send it back via woot. great.

Got mine today as well and the sound bar works great but the subwoofer stopped work after about 30 seconds... And yes I am not an valedictorian and did all the troubleshooting and made sure its plugged in etc... Question is what do I do now? Do I got to send the whole big ass box back. Any help please ...

I also got mine today. The same issue... It goes off on its own after a few seconds. I even tried connecting directly to the cable box or the TV and the same issue. I'm using the optical cable. 3 days ago I returned the Samsung soundbar thinking this was a better deal. I believe Boston Acustics and Woot need to make things right and send good working order soundbar. or, an upgraded one as courtesy. I've been a Woot customer for more than 5 years. And, issues like this one, it seems many people affected, should not go unnoticed. Make it right Woot. Otherwise, I will have to boycott Woot.com and its affiliates with full force of Social Media.

Got mine in today. Followed directions to a T. After all my effort, I power it up only to find the left speaker on the bar is shot. This is whack Woot. Anyway, I will be mailing woot service. It is just such a hassle for something I was really looking forward to. Lot of problems here Woot. Make it right.

I wrote 4 e-mails. Twice to service@woot.com and twice to Rma@woot.com. I'm still waiting for a concise response. I need an rma. Refund! I even called BA and they basically simply said. Return it to woot. They were not willing to do anything about it. This pathetic Woot. I just bought the Dyson and the weeder. These are the last time I buy something from woot. I will share this experience on all social channels and I encourage everyone to do the same.
This is unacceptable

My subwoofer is making a very loud hum after it's been on for a little while.
Emails sent to woot and boston acoustics.

I have just sent my email to service@woot.com as well with the same exact problem of the unit shutting down after 15 to 20 seconds. This is my first problem with a Woot product.

Howdy Wooters. I checked with the buyer about the problem some of you are seeing with the soundbar turning off after about 20-30 seconds. He contacted the vendor and got the following reply:

Is audio from the tv active? The sound bar should automatically turn on and turn off based on an active audio signals.

Sounds like the soundbar will turn itself off if there's no audio signal for about 20-30 seconds.

Could somebody test this and let me know if this indeed what's happening?

Please check if it is the lights on the soundbar that are turning off or the soundbar itself. The manual states that the lights don't stay on during the operation of the sound bar.

That's how mine works. As Kalyanvc said below, the lights will come on when initially powering up, then they will cut off unless you interact with the sound bar, but the bar is still "on" and transmitting sound.

Anybody else have a delay in audio? The audio and video are out of sync.

I'm using the optical cable but will try the rca cable when I get home.

I tried with the TV setting external speakers, and they go off after a few seconds. If I set the TV with internal speakers, then I hear both the internal speakers and the BA together for a few seconds then the BA goes off. I then tried connecting to HD cable box from Comcast and the same failure occurs. My only option with the TV is optical cable since this unit does not support HDMI. I've not tried the RCA cable, since it analog and the TV does not support RCA.

Hrmm... I might end up RMAing mine. I don't think the wireless channel selector is working.

No matter what channel I select, it drowns out my wifi signal in the entire main floor of my house.

It would be one thing if it was only interfering with my HTPC because of it's close proximity to the soundbar, but every device I have on the main floor - two cell phones, two laptops, and an HTPC - (and the router is on the 1st floor) gets disconnected and refuses to reconnect until I cut the soundbar off, no matter which channel I select.

(And no, I don't live in a shoebox...) :P

OK, I know there's some smart Wooters and Woot staff. Maybe you guys can help me out because I really want to keep this soundbar. When it works, it sounds awesome, but the whole killing my wifi signal is frustrating the hell out of me.

So I called BA customer service to try and find out what I could do about that. All the customer service rep could tell me is the soundbar transmits on the 2.4GHz spectrum and in order to get it to "play nice" with my wifi, I needed to "contact the router manufacturer and get them to change signal the router transmits on."

Unfortunately, as (most) everyone knows, all routers transmit on the 2.4GHz spectrum short of the new 5GHz routers.

And BA couldn't tell me the exact frequency the router transmits on between it's 4 channels so I could set my router accordingly.

I've got a Linksys E2000 with DD-WRT on it.

I'm currently transmitting on G/N bands. I tried channel 11 (2.462GHz) first with no luck and I'm currently on channel 9 (2.452GHz). Neither of those have worked. As soon as the soundbar transmits, all wireless devices disconnect from the router - which is about 25-30ft away on another level of the house.

So any tech-savvy or IT certified folks in here want to help me out?

Well I got the replacement yestarday. The main unit works fine but now the Subwoofer goes off after 20 seconds. I tried everything, I even tried to blast the volume in scenes with lots of music and sound (Gameof Thrones) and SubWoofer is subdue.
Really dissapointed that they not test these things througly. I know they are refurbed, great price. But, you get what you paid. Garbage! Chenge your quality WOOT. Until then, I would not be buying anything else from you. And, yes, I've been a customer since 2008. Too bad he!

Is the light going off or is there no sound? Have you read the posts above about the lights? Is the subwoofer making a connection? Is there another wireless item interfering perhaps?

My guess is either they are not on the same channel, they are too far away, or there is probably some interference - although I doubt the last one is very likely based on my experience.

Yes this was a great deal.. perhaps my favorite woot offer.

I've wooted the BA soundbar & wireless sub 3x over the last 2 yrs. i was very frustrated when UPS dropped my last order off at my apartment door and just left it there for some stranger to pick up (i'm in st louis.. where visible, unprotected valuables get stolen all the time). would've been nice to enjoy some quality sound over labor day wknd.

i'm grateful that there was no issue getting my credit card to cancel payment.. but i still really want this sound system for $150. i could buy it today on amazon for $225ish, but i'm just going to wait and hope that woot offers it again soon

Anybody else having a problem with programming the sound bar using a Vizio remote?
The soundbar does not seem to recognize the remote signal at all.
I have emailed BA multiple times with no response.
Thanks.

Has anyone found a wireless channel to use on your home wireless network that won't overlap with the soundbar/subwoofer signal? Wireless keeps dropping when the sub is turned on....
