I miss the old Woot. i don't like the new site. It's simply a sales site now with not-so-great deals. Woot no longer is my first-look when shopping. It's mostly an afterthought and that makes me sad.

I've bought 2 items from these folks after a friend turned me on to their site. The light for my M&P fit and worked properly even after I fired it to see if it'd stay on or break. I also purchased 2 sets of their camera glasses, one was a dud which was repaced promptly and works great so far. So no complaints so far, as long as they back the items they sell I'll continue to buy from woot.

People love to make up stories about how Woot!'s early days were an unbelievable stream of amazing electronics at ungodly-low prices but a quick stroll through archive.org's Woot collection shows that there were plenty of household and other items available on a regular basis. And those 11 URLs end in mid-January of '05. So let's can the fake whining and congratulate the Woot team on another nifty launch.

Woot has and will continue to be the best deal of the day. It might be something from tech, home, kids, sport, etc. Best. Deal. Period.

Exactly. A 'best deal of the day' might be someTHING from tech, home, kids, sport, etc. But maybe having ONE good deal mixed in with a bunch of other crap isn't what used to make woot exciting.

That begs the question of how to explain the woot!plus deals on Woot. Are they going to be the not-quite-best deals from all of the other sites, but still better deals than from the specific sites?
