The 620 has a remote storage feature too -it fits into a slot on the top edge of the rear of the dock. With any luck yours is there and you've forgotten

I had an Android phone and used to use this speaker at my friend's all the time! My phone was AT&T, but as long as there was an auxiliary cord I never had a problem plugging into any speaker. Good luck!

I wondered the same thing. I am pretty darn sure the answer is NO; although we wouldn't know until we tried for sure. According to the press release (scroll down in the article) from Altec Lansing when they announced this product, it only supports the following:
"The iMT630 is compatible with iPod touch (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation), iPod classic, iPod nano (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th generation), iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPhone."

forever fighting the urge to buy something just because it is cheap and cool...wait, it's cheap and cool, let me click that big yellow button!

Woot staffer: Can someone please verify that there is a 3.5mm input jack? In one of the Amazon comments, it mentions that the jack doesn't exist eventhough it's stated in the description.

Hey Woot! I bought this during a previous Wootoff for $99.99! Can you throw me another one to give to my son?

I use mine all the time, in fact, I'm listening to it with my iPhone4s as I type this. Never had a problem with it, and at this price, if you don't have one yet, get one!

To everyone mentioning that it is apple specific, there is this device on kickstarter.

It is a while away but once this launches it will solve all of our compatibility problems.

It would not work with an iPad because the iPhone or iPod sits in a little drawer in the front (where it plugs into the dock) that has sides nowhere near large enough to fit an iPad.

I'm not a Woot staffer, but I have one of these. There is a 9v power input jack and cord, and an aux jack, but not an aux cord. Hope this helps.

So annoying that most docking products for iPod / iPhones can not accommodate anything but the naked device. With the prevalence of protective cases you would think manufacturers would design their products to accommodate.

I bought one of these a few months ago and now cannot live without it. The sound quality is great, it takes very little power and runs on its battery charge for at least two weeks before you have to plug it in, the tiny magnetic remote is cool. I love mine!

I've used the 620 with both an iphone 3GS and 4S, in their cases, with zero problem. If it helps, both were InCase slider cases [which were sufficiently protective that I had no problems with the 3GS and so far have had no problems with the 4S (knock on wood) despite my tendency to frequently drop them onto HARD (concrete, asphalt, ceramic tile) surfaces (I'm disabled and have some reduced strength/control in my hands, so I occasionally just drop things for no good reason if they're held in a clenched hand)].

GOOD Question!I need to know that before I buy. I've looked on Amazon,Altec's site, and eBay.Nothing says that it will charge/hold the charge of the phone. I don't want to assume that it does :-/

According to the review to which CowboyDann linked last night, the ipad2 fits into the connector but does indeed block most of the speakers.

Someone else already noted that it does, as long as it's plugged into AC power; as with the 620, it doesn't charge the device when it's running off battery power itself.

Wonder which is a popular sell and nicer, red or black? I favor both colors btw.

Welcome to Woot. Our standard shipping time is up to 5 business days (not including the day of the sale) for it to leave our warehouse. Often it less than that but that's the outer limit. Once FedEx receives the packages, it can take them a day or two to get it into their system so it's updating.

We've had some issues with our tracking getting sent out so you might try FedEx's “Track by Reference” feature to get tracking info using your order number. For some reason, this method works better sometimes.

Your order number is on your receipt which you can get via Your Account. Leave the Account Number blank. Enter your order number in the reference box. Next, select your country and enter your zip code. Click TRACK and voilà, you may have tracking info.

If you still don't see any movement bye out Tuesday, email service@woot.com

Hehe. Came here to see what the deal was with the charging, if anyone else has had this issue.

Mine has also been charging for at least 12 hours, and it's still charging. I stopped it a little while ago and connected my iPod just to see what the thing sounded like. All it does is fade in and out every second or two from music to no music, as if someone is turning a volume knob all the way up, and then all the way down, continuously.

A piece of junk.

EDIT: More info here. Apparently the light is supposed to flash while it's plugged in. Doesn't resolve my volume problem, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. BTW, the volume works perfectly for AUX input, so I wonder if it's a RockBox issue (?).

Got my replacement unit from Woot! and lo and behold SAME charging issue! This is really annoying! Manual says it should turn sold green when charged but it NEVER turns solid green. Since the manual says not to use until it is fully charged, I have not used it and looks like I never will be able to. Love the idea of this but this belongs in a bag of cattle.... Since it seems we all have been led astray, I think Woot! should step in and help us all out with this product and the manfacturer. If the charging light is on all the time, there is NO way to know if the battery is charged.

I'd been charging mine for almost 20 hours and the light would not stop blinking. I'd read the first post about the thing not charging so I assumed I was having the same problem.

But, I decided to mess around with it. Turns out if I unplug it and turn the power on the light is green and solid, and plays from my ipod classic fine (no problem with volume or anything). Now I just have to see how long it will hold a charge, or if the light turns orange or something to indicate low charge--I'll let you know.

But really, why would they not have designed the thing to stop blinking when it was charged like every other electronic item I have ever owned. This is just silly.

Wow. Quite surprised there are charging issues with this iMT630. Good thing I chimed in...

I followed the instructions and charged it first without using it. Knowing it is lithium ion, I remember to charge it at 12hr max (according to some interwebs on this battery type). Agreed mine still blinks up until the 12th hour when I woke up. I unplugged it, closing the rear flap and didn't use it till I came back from work. Tried it then, unplugged and it worked fine. The green light stays solid. I used it for 4-5hrs till shut eye, still no issues. I noticed the only thing that got discharged, was my iPod Touch.

The speaker batteries seems to be going strong...no issues so far (knock on wood). I remember reading in the manual to charge it at least once in 3 months. I am tempted to try that..however, I was told that it is bad to fully discharge a lithium ion battery (then recharging it). I won't risk it. It has "no-memory" so it must be charged, even at half to a quarter juice left. I charge it right before I go to sleep. That's what I am doing, even to my cell.

It's currently running for a little over 6hrs now non-stop and unplugged...so far, so good. Will keep you guys updated.

Wouldn't you know it, a little nearing the 7th hr..and the light blinked orange. I immediately turned off both and decided to charge each separately. Btw, I read an article on lithium ion care, to not charge the batteries while device is on (avoid parasitic load) to prolong li-ion battery life. So I'm leaving it plugged till I wake up tom....8hrs or so.

Follow the link I posted above to a discussion about the blinking light. Altec Lansing Customer Service chimed in and said...

"Thank you for your inquiry on the IMT630 charging and light status. The green light will only be solid when the power cord is not plugged in and the battery is at a full charge. Once you plug in the cord and play the unit, it is designed to do a continuous charge to the battery. This will result in the green light blinking.

This is part of the design of the unit."

So, regardless of what the manual says, it will always blink when it is plugged in, which seems stupid to me, but...
