Thanks for sharing! One of the "charms" (at least to me) of the various Woot properties is all the kibitzing we do in the forums. Sure a lot of time we could just go look crap up, but isn't getting biased information from anonymous internet strangers about crappy imported goods the American Way?

For sears and Walmart, there's that whole thing about sales tax and whatnot...

I like that someone always has the time to look up stuff and give perspectives and comparison shop. It doesn't matter what it is, someone will always pitch in. (Hey community, you rock! Yeah even you over there planning to troll.)

I'm just hanging out, really.

One more thing, those who are comparing and contemplating on Haier vs. Westinghouse, take the following in to consideration:

Westinghouse Digital LLC used to be Westinghouse Digital Electronics LLC, which filed for (basically) bankruptcy a few years ago. It is currently owned by a company called Golden Star Electronics, LLC.

In case anyone searched on Google for Westinghouse Digital's parent company, the answer that claims Toshiba is blatantly wrong. Hence, more reason to not adopt "If it's on Google, it must be right" mantra

Yeah that makes about a 10-15 dollar difference depending on your State,a few have no sales taxes. Besides, for that slight difference you get a NEW TV with FULL warranty and 1080P HD not 720. I'm sorry to say this Woot offer is a big fail.

Bought this from Amazon in one of their Gold Box deals before Christmas - very happy with it! Picture is great. Yes it takes a few seconds to turn on, but it's a great TV for the price. I use it for normal TV, with a Roku, and with my computer to watch shows that are offered online but not through Roku. I would definitely buy one again.

So, so sad. What did that wonderful chicken ever do to be burned on the grill like that?

Really. That chicken was burnt about a half hour before that picture was taken. All I can figure is the guy is making chicken flavored charcoal to cook his steak on.
