TABLET!!!! Seeing as how I'm the pilot, and the aviation charts (sectionals, en-route charts, approach plates) are all in one app on my iPad. Can't fly without it.

I said tablet, but I really meant kindle. Many books in one, I never go anywhere without it.

I sleep every time. The constant hum of the engines cause me to fall asleep every time.

Laptop. It would hurt the most to have a laptop smashed in your face.

None of the above. It's one of the few places I can sit quietly and think with relatively few distractions. Unless I'm traveling with my wife. Then we do whatever we can to make the other laugh out loud. Usually observe and make fun of the other passengers.

Agreed! Plus, in-flight is the only time in life I allow myself to indulge in Cosmo or some other useless magazine.

I can't focus on any of those things during a flight, because I'm far too uncomfortable. I look at the magazines provided, then try to focus on a book or game, then ask for some water, then fidget, then eat something, then look at the magazine again, then fidget, then go to the bathroom, etc.

Where's the "I don't fly" option?

Amen, gender-nonspecific wootperson. Nothing calms the nerves and boredom better than a rum & coke or a scotch on the rocks.

Plus, you don't have to turn off a book when you're on the runway.
