Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

And I learned a few minutes ago that Mohawk Guy is named Bobak Ferdowski. Bobak? Really?

It's pretty impressive considering I can't even land with 100% structural integrity in the Xbox Kinect game. It's the entry phase that gets me. Still need that last achievement...

I wonder if I'm the only person who thinks this has been tremendously under covered in all news outlets?

I am a child of the 60's so I remember the glory days of Apollo. Sure would be nice to get the country refocused on science, exploration and not so much on reality TV. But yeah. I'm excited to see the landing a success. I stayed up to watch it live-ish. (as live as you can get with a 13 minute delay)

This is a tremendous achievement for humanity. I'm really proud for the country!
For those uninspired people who missed the whole thing here is the link with the explanation what is the Curiosity Rover.
Make sure to watch the movie at the end that is exactly how it was in reality.

You will never see that kind of focus as long as people are constantly bombarded with the message that anything that doesn't result in tax cuts is worthless.

They said that in the 60's too. But since all the work was done in the usa, all the money stayed here. Every person who worked on the space program paid taxes. Sort of like they were paying themselves.

I much rather pay for knowledge for the sake of knowledge than for war.

btw, can you guess my dad worked in aerospace when I was a kid?

WE LURV YOU TOO! Dork!!!
