Mixed reviews over on amazon. Mostly positive though.

Links with that info sometimes earn you a quality post. No promises but it's more likely than if you don't include links.

I have owned these for more than a year. I don't use then very often but I can say that the sound quality is good and none of the wires inside have broken so no intermittent sound loss.

I'm also not sure what planet these ever cost $60 on. I think I paid less than $20. I'm just saying.

Two very positive reviews from cnet website

http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/jlab-j3-micro-atomic/4505-7877_7-34155672.html

I have other jlab products and am very pleased with the quality.

It's Back to School week. Everyone can use earbuds whether for music to listen to between classes or just blocking people out so they won't bother you.

I don't know anything about the sound but I do have two complaints based on the photo:

- Double and triple-flanged tips are not included. They offer the best fit and sound transmission for me. FYI, the earbuds need not be expensive to include them. MEE models, including ones I bought on Woot for less than $10, have them.

- The plug is straight and not angled at 90 degrees. This makes it harder to place your MP3 player in a pocket. It also puts the plug and jack at much more strain. In fact, jack breakage is probably the most common problem in MP3 players.

I have these and I love them. They're not my primary headphones, but they're great for having in my bag for emergencies. The sound quality is worlds better than those cheap ipod headphones, and they have a nice warranty - my first three pairs broke and jlab replaced them all for free, no questions asked.

not really any reviews on headfi

http://www.head-fi.org/t/452071/jbuds-j3-micro-atomic

1 or 2 vague ones at best.
apparently the jlab site has a burn in sound track though if you decide to buy these :D

these are not to bad no where near the 60$ retail price really not sure where they came up with that it seems the prices of headphones is getting insane lately but anyway i own them got them for 19.95 and for this price they are def worth it. they really lack any kind of low end and do breakup when pushed to far but not bad overall. just please dont expect them to be 60$ earbuds expect them to be worth what you paid today and i think you will be happy with them.

As with any earbuds, make sure to use to right size tip; most complaints of bad noise isolation are due to this. The full metal housing make these a little heavy, but very solid.

Hey I actually own these! Seems like I never own a woot product and get to talk about it.

These are pretty nice headphones especially for this price.I paid about $20 with a nice sale on Amazon. They produce a pretty rich sound that actually beats my cheap 2.1 speakers for general listening like music. I use them every day at work for that.

Some reviews said that they got better after they were "burned in" which I didn't really understand at the time, but they really do sound better after a decent amount of use.

The only problem I had with them is that they seem to build up a little condensation sitting in your ears over a number of hours.

Good stuff though. Not the highest quality in the whole world, but for the price I can't imagine better earbuds.

The jlabs products ive had are total crap, the sound was mediocre and they broke within a week of moderate use

I bought a pair of these back when they were the newest Jlab earbuds. They're nice, but watch out, the end plug is straight, and I'm currently seeing some breakage there from average wear.

Thanks for the tip about not putting your MP3 player in pants etc. All my ear phones go dead because of "Jack Breakage". I will look for ones with angled jacks, I didn't even know they sold them. Thanks.

To do that right you need to have on earbuds AND be texting.

I've had many, many pairs of JLabs earbudsm including the J3s. I tend to be a bit rough on my headphones, using them every day at work, and managed to kill a couple pairs of the J3s (sound went out in one of the two buds). Each set lasted me perhaps a year.

HOWEVER, when I contacted JLabs regarding it, they sent me out a new set, no questions asked. Their customer service is second to none. I had the same thing happen to me with a pair of J4s and again, new set sent to me. Just make sure that when you receive the earbuds, you register them on JLabs' site. If you ever encounter any issues with them, they'll take care of you.

Not sure why I would want these if you say the first 3 pairs you had broke! Sounds like they are very poorly made.

he said they lasted a year, thats pretty good for earbuds. almost all the ones i've had have only lasted me 3-6 months, the only exception being the meelectronic cx21, which are still going strong almost a year and 2 cycles through the washer and dryer later.

so if you can get some buds for cheap, that last a year, and have a great warranty, why wouldn't you buy them?

Wow guess I missed the part where KATEYOURFACEOFF said they had them for a year.
Odd, I'm still missing that part!

Not shipping to Canada? That's a bummer. I'd eat the shipping for these, looking to get some new earbuds and these looked like they fit the bill. Ah well, guess I'll try elsewhere.

Yes, sorry. The only site that ships outside the US is Shirt.Woot.

I have the J3M earbuds (same but with a mic) and they are great. Much better sound than any other earbuds I've owned. Make sure you register these online as soon as you receive them because if they do break (usually at the plug in from being in a pocket), getting them replaced is a breeze. I didn't do this so I had to ship mine in so they could pull a S/N for them before they replaced my last pair. Lasted just under a year so they sent me a new one.
I use these daily for biking and at the gym so they get beat up in my pocket attached to my Evo 4g so lasting that long is pretty good for me. Actually might pick up a second pair since they are so cheap. Christmas presents?

I've had a pair of these for about two years now. I primarily use them when I'm outside working in the yard, or when I want to block out other noises.

The warranty replacement is awesome, although I've only ever needed to use it once. Of my five pairs of jbuds, one pair sounded bad after burn so I asked for a replacement. A new pair showed up a few days later sounding much better.

I have had a pair of these working on 4 years now. I don't use them everyday, but they do get tested when in use. Meaning I sometimes hit the cord and no breakage. So they are pretty durable with light psychical use.

They broke due to me being hard on them - water damage, accidentally pulling the cables apart, ect.

But the pair I have currently has lasted me about two years now.

Pretty impressive for how cheap they are, after a good burn in. But you still shouldn't expect much from a pair of earbuds, buy a nice set of cans if that's what you're after.

Bought a pair of these a while back on Amazon. They sound pretty good. I like the case, and the metal body is nice.

They don't sound quite as good as my Sony cans, but on the whole they're a decent set of headphones. I would buy them again.

I miss me some wootTV.

Yes I know you didn't say you had them for a year, that was my point to FUNKADUNK8.
Anyway, sounds like you're very happy with them so maybe not a bad deal for the money. I'm overloaded with earbuds right now but maybe next time I'll give them a try.

How do these JLab compare to Skullcandy? My daughter swears by Skullcandy and I've been able to get simple ones like Dub for $4.98 (no volume, no mic models, e.g.S2DUCZ-035 - Amazon link below) on clearance at Target. (I'm NOT an audiophile, just enjoy good sound that doesn't bother others.)
