For starters, I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a refurbished 720P television. So that's pretty much all I have to say.Well,I lied.I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a 32 inch refurbed 720P television.

Having recently been shopping for a 32" TV, you're not going to find a price a whole lot better and a 1080p 32" TV at that price will be few and far between.

Is there any difference between the models?¿

If your thinking you have never heard of Haier, they are the major producers of college dorm room sized fridges. And here is a link to Haier for the L32B1120

Bought one on a Black Friday sale this past year. Using it for a playroom tv and is also hooked up to my computer. Works fine for what it is.

The only complaints I found when buying it were that the speakers are poor quality. Kids don't care, and I added a good speaker system to the computer.

I bought this TV new for 199.00 about a year ago. The picture is very good. The sound is not very good. Definitely needs to be hooked up to some external speaks. Has a reasonable number of inputs; the base is a little cheap. Haier is a joint German/Chinese company that makes major appliances. At 32", the difference between 720 and 1080p is negligible.

Its also not that far away from Black Friday now..How much is a new vs a reject oops refurb worth to you.

Unless you want it for computer use... also $199 new vs $179 used a year later screams its not a good deal.

It says PC input but dorsn't specify connector type. I don't see a VGA connector in the pics either. Looks pretty weak in the input department.

Agreed.

Not sure why folks are knocking the RCA brand, but I bought the 32" RCA refurb (with DVD combo) for $209 back in June and it works great. It has replaced a small, 19" TV in our bedroom, and the 720P looks perfect from 12 feet away. No problems whatsoever. (Your mileage may vary.)

I don't know much about the Haier brand, but for this price, it seems like a good deal as a secondary (or tertiary) set. Heck, I may pick up one of these just to put in my garage / workshop. Why miss precious minutes of the game just because your wife needs something fixed! :-)

PC inputs are always VGA or dvi. If it's not VGA you can convert it.

Just went to amazon and read a comprehensive review that says the sound quality is bad. Don't know what model but considering the hassle of returns I'm not willing to take the chance. sorry woot.

Never heard of this brand, but about the same price compared to the deals currently on TigerDirect.com for the
same spec TV in a better known brand.

I have this TV. I purchased it from Amazon for $199 new, with free Prime shipping.

I use it in my bedroom. For this use it's perfect. The picture is excellent, and the sound hasn't been an issue, since it's in a smaller room.

I've had it for over a year, and it hasn't given me any problems at all. I would definitely recommend it, you have to make the decision if it's worth $179 refurbed.

Cheers

Edit: Mine is the L32D1120

I paid about $100 more than this for a Westinghouse 32" LED (not LCD) and same thing...picture good, sound is crap.

Fortunately, I have it in my bedroom just to play something as I drift off to sleep, and it has what amounts to a mixer built in so that helped...but if I can find a cheap sound bar, that fixes that (as it did for my 47" LCD in my living room).

Today only, TigerDirect offers the refurbished Vizio 31.5" 720p Widescreen LCD HD Television, model no. E321VL, for $199.99. This $50 mail-in rebate drops it to $149.99. With $14.80 for shipping, it's $15 under our refurb mention from two weeks ago and the lowest total price we've seen. (It's also $15 below the lowest total price we could find for a refurb elsewhere.) It features a native resolution of 1366x768 (720p), 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 500 cd/m² brightness, 8.5ms response time, USB connectivity, two HDMI inputs, and VGA and other video inputs.
A 90-day Sohnen warranty applies.

I bought this TV for my business office/waiting area. It's got a nice picture and the sound is fair. But, ince it's in a small, quiet area, it doesn't need to get that loud. Decent amount of inputs for the price. Remote is easy to use, but seems very 'directional' - need to point right at the TV in my experience. Had the TV six months, and if you need it for a spare TV or in an area that doesn't need a big stereo setup, I would recommend it.

REFURB merchandise can be as simple as someone did not like the size, color, type. Sometimes a return is sent back due to operation problems. A refurb is gone through better than a new production unit and may be the better choice because it has been tested in every aspect of the product where new is just spot tested. REFURB is not reject.

Thats one ugly looking TV. But for under $180bucks, a decent deal.
