Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

@baqui63, does it matter if it's new or refurb?

Moving 4 states away from my old home, and having to wait for internet, I found out how useful the phone is. Phone, text, email, internet and FB all available without a wi-fi connection. Nice to still be able to communicate or find locations of things.

I've moved to Asia. No phone and no internet = no communication. In today's world, that really, really sucked. Even more than a microwave or a mini-fridge, I really missed being able to communicate with the outside world, except for trips to Starbucks until my cra ppy laptop's battery died - about 30 min! I do not recommend Acer laptops. Thirty minutes of computer time from a public place - on days I could get there - just wasn't enough time to get much accomplished. I didn't think I'd be SO HAPPY to finally have a slow ethernet connection! At least it's workable!

When rich or powerful people propose a change, it is designed to make them richer or more powerful.

No pacemaker, but a replacement aortic valve. I had the choice between a mechanical valve (making me a cyborg) or a biological valve (making me a chimera) I chose to be a minotaur.

I have not yet reached the point where my phone is more influential than my desktop, but it's getting close.

Windows Phone 8 may push it over the top.

I love my smart phone, but I'm getting rid of it. I've got to reduce my monthly bills because I need a new roof, but I don't want to pay interest. Soooo....getting rid of data plan as soon as a basic phone I ordered comes in (just calling & texting plan). It's going to be hard at first but I can live without it. Side note: I also got rid of premium channels & the dvr cable services a couple of days age. Now I have to watch commercials. Ugh!

come on now. a roof? is a roof REALLY more fulfilling than cheating at virtual Scrabble with a stranger, or jumping online to find the Wiki page for a celebrity who faded into obscurity?

i mean...priorities!

Today's pants smell like:
Not sure if you should post that? This slightly-nsfw-flowchart will help.

I can live without all of these things. Just 2 weeks ago when Isaac hit my power was out for 4 days and it was WONDERFUL. No responsibilities to my email, LOTS of board games. My friends' smartphones did not work at all but my "stupid" cellphone from the 1800s worked great (although I hardly used it).
