Bought one of these last time (a few weeks ago) and initially had issues with the wireless link between the sound bar and the subwoofer interfering with my wireless network.

I ultimately had to move the sound bar away from my HTPC and change the wireless channel of my router and then try out the different settings on the sound bar.

Despite that, the sound is incredible. I wasn't unhappy with the sound from my TV, but it sounds SOOO much better with the sound bar and sub!

http://tech.woot.com/offers/soundbar-speaker-with-wireless-subwoofer there's what Wooters were saying last time it was on sale - and it was $144.99 so you get a bit more savings this time around.

This soundbar and wireless sub is freakin awesome for this price. Even refurbished.. which can be risky for some electronics.

I just wooted the Klipsch 2.1 Speaker System for $40 on Tuesday, otherwise I'd be all over this.

As an MBA student currently taking Intro Economics, I can now prove why it's not worth it for me to buy this as a second pair of speakers:

• Marginal Benefit = difference between speakers with 150 Watts of Power (BA) vs 25 Watts of Power (Klipsch)
• Marginal Cost = $145 (BA)
• So Marginal Benefit < Marginal Cost

However, if I didn't have the Klipsch speakers already, the Marginal Benefit > Marginal Cost.

On second thought.. I am going to order these to ship as a gift to my cousin cause they're just that good, and I really hate missing out on a good tech woot.

I bought the same set with those people. I have no problems at all. My soundbar stays on as long as there is audio being transmitted to the bar. The lights on the soundbar turn off, which is actually awesome because I don't want a bunch of lights on below the TV during a dark movie.

Some people have had problems on off-site reviews of remotes not working unless very close and at a specific angle. Mine seems to work brilliantly and I'm just using my cable remote, which was a breeze to format.

I can't say enough good things about this cheap, high quality soundbar. It isn't the best audio you'll get from any system by any means, but this thing is worth the money. My soundbar has increased my Netflix and general TV experience 3 fold.

I do sometimes turn it off during shows that contain mostly voice and little effects because I have the subwoofer set a little high for movie watching and TV show watching. Otherwise, it's phenomenal and I can't recommend it enough.

Do yourself a favor and buy this unit if you are just using your TV speakers. It will greatly add to your experience and you will not regret this purchase... especially at this deal! I would have gladly paid double if I had known how much I would enjoy this soundbar.

I completely agree. Obviously I purchased mine and it worked fine other than the way my network is set up. Besides, Woot has a great return/exchange policy!

I bought mine about five years ago (retail) and it's one of my favorite things I own. Wireless subwoofer works really well.

I bought one last time, and it's been great. It's much better sounding than the TV's built-in speakers. Dr. Who's intro music rocks the house now. Worth it. Glad I bought it.

Morning fellow wooters--I recently purchased the Klipsch Quintet speaker system and have been looking for a reasonably priced sub woofer to complete the set. Soundbar aside, would it make sense to get this?

Does anyone know if this works with the DirecTV remote?

the soundbar grille was reworked and is no longer opaque black, which significantly improves remote performance that was originally reported with this soundbar. It's a great product - even my audiophile husband is happy with the sound quality.

yes, you can program any remote to work with the soundbar. Instructions are included on how to do this. Super easy to setup.

Bought this the last time around and the dern thing wouldn't even turn on. Returning it was a big pain and we still don't have a replacement yet...

I bought a Boston Acoustics Soundbar 3-4 years ago. You have to literally be 2-3 feet away from it for the remote to work. We get up and walk over to it to adjust the volume, just like if there were no remote. The wife HATES that. I checked Comments about that model and others said the same thing. Any similar problems with the remote range on this model?

Piece of garbage. Had two of the subwoofers replaced on my set and still made the same god awful sound. I think there was problems with the wireless signal.

I want to get this, but I think it looks pretty ugly with the buttons on the front of the bar. I like nice clean lines. Anyone who has this want to comment on if it looks old, out of date, or cheap because of the sound bar buttons on the front?

I've been thinking about this kind of system for a while. How much better is this soundbar compared to the Vizio's that go no sale for $50 all the time? They're both refurbs, and the Vizio's don't have a wireless sub, but sound quality between the two? Is there a big difference?

Does anybody know if this will help the issue, with regular TV speakers, where you are watching a show or movie and the dialogue/voice is very quiet, so you turn it up, and then whatever conversation is over and there's music or sound effects that are now way too loud so you have to turn it down, and on it goes like this over and over?

I'm considering getting this if it will help with that problem. Was watching "breaking bad" last night and that problem was absolutely awful.

Got mine last woot as others and when I got my first one the left speaker did not work. Woot sent me out a replacement right away and it works flawlessly. I LOVE it for my games / movies...small basement and with the sub it fills the room with sound. Steal of a DEAL!

All I'm saying is that this is probably the ugliest soundbar I've ever seen. It looks like it was made in the 1990s.

It doesn't - instead you press a button on the front of the bar and it will program your TV/TiVo/etc remote to be able to control it.

just received and set-up my soundbar. luckily, my wi-fi didn't freak out. however it looks like i got a dud. unit turns on and functions perfect for the first few seconds, and then shuts itself off. looks like this one is going to need to be returned.

Received mine today as well. There's a switch on the back that is marked as Trim which the manual says is to adjust the input volume sensitivity, maybe that will help you out.

Mine unfortunately seems to be affecting my WiFi signal though. My XBox and everything connected to the TV is hardwired so they are fine however my phone and laptop seem to be affected while sitting on the couch. I'll give it more than a day though and will try a few different channels for the sub signal hoping to resolve the issue.

Otherwise it sounds pretty decent, I really want it to work out.

I seem to be having an issue with the sub as well.

Not sure if it is due to the wifi or not, had it working for about 30 minutes then went to mount it (above the tv since its too tall to in front) unplugged a couple things. Now my sub doesn't work.

Anybody else have this problem and find a fix? I tried changing the channel on my router a few times but no luck yet.

The wireless seems to not deal well when there are things between the bar and the subwoofer. Wanted to put behind the couch, but signal kept dropping. Moved the sub so it has a clear line with the soundbar and it works well.

I am having a heck of a time trying to program a remote to this soundbar. I've only been successful with 'volume up'. The orange lights will not appear when I press any other combo of buttons (vol down and power together, etc.). I've emailed BA, but are hoping for some quicker input.

Took many, many tries but finally got Dish DVR remote programmed for volume & power. Power switch is a joke as it turns itself back on after 30 seconds. Only way to fully turn unit off is from the back switch & in a bedroom that's not acceptable. Also the subwoofer is getting really HOT after being on for an hour - even on "standby" after being off for hours it still feels quite warm on the back.

Mine is doing same thing. Works fine for 30 seconds and shuts itself off. Power it on and it sounds great and then shuts itself off again. Tried all settings on Trim switch...no luck. Any suggestions?

i have tried all 3 trim levels, no help. i am using the optical input. theoretically, as long at the light for the optical fiber is on, the soundbar should be on, regardless of how much sound is being outputted by the sound source. thanks for trying.

for the wifi issue, my wifi is on channel 5, and the soundbar/LFE is on 4. and i am not receiving any interference

Anyone used this with a Harmony remote (where you program the remote based on the equipment)? Since this is set up to work the reverse, I was able to program the soundbar to use the same up/down and off commands as my TV, but not sure what/how to set up the music/film button since there is no such thing on my TV remote (so none in my Harmony remote).

Also, is this supposed to mimic a 5.1 surround system (he mentions that in the video review)? I don't hear it as surround and I'm wondering how to test it. I have an LG 3D TV attached directly to the soundbar with optical in.
