I have purchased 3 of these since they first came out retail. The last 2 from Woot. I love them for music, but they are awful for making a phone call.
They are still $50-60 in the store. At $25 they are a deal.

Biggest issue are the little plastic ear nubs. They come off very easily.

Exactly. And because they fit so tight, if you take them off in a hurry, the buds will pop off and go flying, either never to be found again or only to land in a pile of crud that you would prefer not to have reside deep against your earddum. I could forgive the tightness somewhat (even though I suspect it rubbed a bald spot onto the back of my skull) but they become unusable without the buds.

I bought a pair of these and for me they are just okay. The sound quality when listening to music is mediocre at best and they start to hurt if you wear them for more than 15 minutes. They also have a great thing they do when they are about to go dead where they beep three times so loud that your ears feel like bleeding. Wouldn't buy them again.

Awful sound quality. Not even worth $5.

But you can buy more gel ear buds for $4...

i wish these didn't suck.

i'm a pretty standard female, most of what i get to hear while running (gently even) is the mild thud of them bouncing off the back of my neck with each heel strike... the sound quality of the actual audio is unimpressive. the fit considerably weird.

they were basically super depressing and i would only suggest purchasing them if they were like $5, then it's a deal.

Thanks previous posters for saving me from a regrettable buy.

I have a little bluetooth clip on that is for use with my own earbuds-they plug into the clip instead of the phone-and it works pretty well. I guess I'll just keep using it and forgo the sexy design of this thing.

I have a pair and have tried to palm them off on several friends - who all gave them back to me after trying due to discomfort and not staying in ears. My pair works, but are the most uncomfortable things ever. I prefer my jabra clip even though the clip is not particularly hardy.

Love these! Picked them up the last time Woot offered them and they are great. Thinking of buying a 2nd pair as a back up. I listen to audio books on my iphone and these work just fine. I get about 7 hours of listening time per full charge. Music sound is good as well.
Probably the only negative is the charging takes a bit longer than I would expect.

I bought these to wear while lifting weights. I love them. I had to try all the different ear buds to find a good fit but this was just what I needed. The sound quality isn't as good as wired headphones, but I was having terrible problems with the wired headphones getting yanked out of my ears while doing squats or pull ups.

When the first one I bought went bad Motorola replaced it. The second one lasted a month. They're a great idea, but I've had two and neither has lasted more then a couple months. Waste of money.

Can you have 2 headphones synced and being used for the same device? (ie: a pair for each of my kids synced to the ipad and watching a movie in the car?

TIA!

I bought these thinking that somehow none of the negative reviews would apply to me, but even knowing not to expect much I'm pretty disappointed in them. The sound quality is abysmal (not noisy, just heavily biased toward the low end... Sounds like you're underwater or sticking your fingers in your ears). All but the smallest included rubber earbud covers would smash shut so the sound would alternate between barely audible and silent as I walked.

These are extremely uncomfortable and smash my ears against the earpieces from my glasses. The buttons are virtually impossible to use, but do seem to work. They are beyond terrible if you're wanting to lay on your back or side while listening to something. I wear them while mowing the lawn and they're just barely not bad enough to throw them under the mower. And for what it's worth, I am confident that I'm wearing them properly.

However, they are functional if you have a smaller head or don't wear glasses and don't care about sound quality. I haven't had any trouble with them. It's just that I really don't like them, and unlike a lot of products, I have a hard time seeing how anyone else could.

I picked these up last time they were offered. I've used them a few times at the gym. Don't even bother if you wear glasses. I wore glasses instead of my contacts one night and after a while, I had horrible pain on my ears where the arms of my glasses were pinched by the headphones. I had to adjust how I laid on the bench as well because of where this thing sits on the back of your head. Same with head positioning when I was doing something standing up, such as deadlifts. I couldn't look too far up before they started to push into my head.

I should also mention that I have an enormous head and these headphones, while snug, fit just fine. I would think that if they were any looser, I'd be concerned about them falling out.

I'm not one for buyer beware posts, but here's my story:

Bought one of these refurbs from woot a couple weeks ago. The right speaker was blown already. Since Woot does not handle returns, I'm in communications with Moto customer service right now.

Refurb headphones... Headphones other people have used (or had problems with) already... I feel like I should have somehow anticipated this.

Uncomfortable, awkward fit, heavy, poor sound, and they just look flat-out ridiculous.

FYI, they are not "in-ear" buds. They're designed to sit on the outside of the inner part of your ear (if that makes sense, I'm not an expert on ear anatomy). Even the smallest rubber earbuds are massive.

Really wish I didn't waste my money on this crap.

Purchased in previous woot and have worn them literally once. I bought them for working out. After trying several different days, all the included buds and still being completely unable to either 1) be comfortable or 2) get any kind of decent sound quality, I used them anyway for about 45 minutes. Went back to just using my wired headphones after that. They just don't... fit... in your ears? In mine anyway, and I have your average sized lady head - and ears - so far as I know.

I own these. I bought them through woot. Please, PLEASE don't buy them.

They hurt.
The ear pieces fall off at the drop of a hat.
They hurt. A lot.
I only use them for listening to podcasts, so I can't speak to their sound quality, but did I mention that they hurt like hell when wearing them?

I don't know who or what these were designed to fit, but it isn't an average sized man's head.

I bought these from Amazon after my father mentioned how much he liked his S9. I haven't tried his, so I can't compare the two versions.

You have to try the different earbuds to make sure you get the best fit. Syncing is simple; I have no idea why some people report connection problems. The button is occasionally hard to press. There's a line in the middle of the power symbol - just align your fingernail with that and press.

Maybe I have an abnormal (tiny/huge) head, but I don't have any issues getting the back of this to 'float' above my neck. I can wear these for hours before they start to hurt. I'd say after 3 hours my ears begin to get sore; after 4 I need a break.

For $25 you can do a lot worse.

TL;DR - I like them; recommend.

Bought them on woot, same exact deal, same exact price.

They were a bad buy, the headphones are uncomfortable in shape and the way they hang on your head. Sound was great for an old AM radio, so long as I didn't move. Even the slightest movement would cause explosions of static that would make Michael Bay proud.

Also, they only work for the most basic of phone functions. You can't use them with skype or anything other than listening to the basic music function and talking on the phone. I wasn't able to even get pandora to work reliably with these. Most of my calls ended up getting dropped when I used these because my phone thought that the lack of signal from the headphones meant I had hung up. Even when the call stayed on the line, it was still distorted and difficult to hear.

I would pass on these awesome looking, but utterly annoying headsets unless you really need to buy something from woot today.

Now back to watching the woot-off!

Original purchase from Amazon came in 2 days (thank you/curse you Prime). If you're asking how long Woot! will take to ship you these if you buy them, if I had to put money on it, I'd plan on waiting their typical shipping time.

Thanks for playing!

How many devices can these headphones pair with?

I have a pair of awesome Plantronic Bluetooth headphones but they can only pair with one device at a time and I'm not unpairing them with my phone so I can use them with my laptop or with anything else I might buy later.

Can these pair with more than one Bluetooth device without losing previous pairings?

One of the reviews that I read on Amazon mentioned that they had to re-sync each time they wanted to switch between listening to their phone and their laptop.

OK, I bought these, and I was very happy with them. I walk a couple hours a day, and I always seemed to keep snagging the cord from my phone to my headphones, so I thought this would solve the problem.

It did, absolutely. I was very happy I got them, and I have a big head. One of the secrets to making them comfortable is to wear them upside down - they fit much better that way.

However, a followup. The ear cushions have a tendency to come out, and mine did - I thought I lost it. And even though it came with several replacement sets, I couldn't find them either. What with my sweating, I knew these could not last much longer without the cushion.

I remembered that I had read in a previous comment that there was a better Bluetooth headset out there for not much more, so I ordered the LG Tone HBS-700 from Amazon. WOW - what a great product! Great sound, so comfortable I don't even notice them on, and highly reliable.

I found the ear cushion and the replacement, but have not used these since I got my LGs.

Bought these when they came up in July or August, and use them constantly. They last for a couple of days on one charge, and use a standard micro-usb charger. I find them incredibly convenient and haven't had any trouble syncing them with my devices- whether my iphone or my ipad. The sound quality isn't the best, but it's decent for what I wanted- a wireless headset that I can use to listen to music.

Bought these last time they popped up. Definitely not great, but for 25 bucks it beats having a wire swing around when i run on the treadmill. Battery works fine for me only charged it once and have used it about 3 times a week for 45 minutes at a time for about 2 weeks now. Yes, they are a little tight, but once i get moving i don't notice it anymore. I say for the price, go for it.
PS. You can access Siri with a push of the left side button which is really great.

I bought them to use while running. Every time I went for a run I considered throwing them off one of the bridges I run over and into the river. I didn't end up taking them on most of the runs I go on because the battery was dead unless I JUST unplugged them from the charger.

The sound quality is pretty bad but I can't give an honest opinion on that because they never fit right and are popping in and out of my ears so much all I hear is a popping sound.

I haven't actually used them for about the last month. I probably never will again. I really miss my old Motorola pair that covered my ears entirely and had no claims of being water resistant. They managed to hold up for a couple years even with being soaked in sweat a few times a week. If you do buy these I hope they work better for you than they did for me.

Agreed. The battery life is pretty terrible. I get about 45 minutes even straight off the charger. Been meaning to call Motorola since they do have a 1-yr warranty despite being a woot-refurb. The fit isnt great in my ears (despite trying every combo of inserts they offer, but they would serve their purpose if it werent for the lousy battery life. They dont even last long enough to mow the lawn. Im also not really a fan of the whole "it hovers off of your neck" thing. It means that they have to squeeze your temple really hard, which is impossible while wearing sunglasses.

The Big o' Cosmos is my white-whale. So little sleep, so much disappointment.
