Anyone else getting a slight Darth Vader vibe from this?
(That's all; I'm stocked on docks.)

What is the voltage range of the AC/DC plug. I am currently living and working in Afghanistan and the voltage is 220 volts. I wish Woot would start putting down the voltage consumption specifications of the products it sells. It is probably not a big deal for most Wooters but for those of us who get mail via APO it is a big deal depending on where you are located.

i can't tell if this draws up cravings for belgian chocolate or dart practice with some shurikens.

either way, i love um...how contemporary it looks.

Sorry about that. We do get the information directly from the vendor or manufacturer. The information isn't always available to us.

I'm normally very impressed with JBL products and quality, especially their speakers, so when I saw this, I thought it would sound terrific, but was I ever wrong!

It sounded like something COB* or similar cheap company would make, and I was REALLY surprised! NO punch in what little bass there was, no definition and just plain didn't sound good at all. Honestly, I was astounded that JBL would even put their name on this!

I returned mine to the store the very same day, still stunned that a JBL product could sound SO awful.

Buyer beware... I wouldn't buy this even if it was a third of the price. One thing I will give it is that it has a great design. Unfortunately, you can't listen to a great design.

Be patient and wait until you see the Logitech S715i on sale. For around $100, you'll get something that very near rivals the Bose SoundDock, which costs FOUR times as much, and has a bass that rocks and sounds terrific overall. Oh yeah, it looks great, too!

The On Stage IV using a switching power adapter that functions at 110V and 220V. So you just need the appropriate plug adapter and it should work just fine.

Due to the size of an Otterbox case, you would have to remove it in order to dock your iPhone. However, as a work around, you could connect your iPhone with a 3.5mm cable if you had to keep the case on.

I am listening to my JBL with Ipod 4s right now that has an otterbox on it, BUT you have to get the adapter for it to connect..

I know, I know... only dorks ask this question... but, outside of a thick Otterbox, is this thing able to seat iPods/iPhones with other, less bulky cases still on?

ie - how "adjustable" is the docking area?

No question is too dorky here.

It works with my Iphone in it's otterbox. Sometimes I have to push it down hard, other times it just contacts easy. I love this docking station, it has great sound. I bought mine from Costco on coupon and paid 59 bucks, so this is a deal

Hi. Is the 3.5mm cable provided? can I easily connect it to my laptop?

I own this model. While I agree that is isn't Bose quality, the sound isn't that bad. At $40 this is really a good deal for someone looking for the flexibility and convenience of a portable speaker.

And yes....the design is pretty cool too.
