For those answering "b", Google's cars have driven 300,000 miles and have had two accidents. Both were caused by humans driving into them.

The technology is not intuative. It can not see that a driver looks like he isn't paying attention or is too busy putting on her face paint.

I tend to agree with Del Spooner, I can drive myself.

This is the perfect thing for me! I hate, hate, hate driving, but don't want to bug people for rides, either. So I'd be first in for a self-driving car.

Or I can win the lottery I don't play and get a chauffeur.

Can I program it remotely? It would be awesome to start hiking somewhere, and have my car drive to the pick up point. Also useful for kayaking.

I'm in the same boat, but I walk to work...because I'm too lazy to fix my truck when I'm walking distance from work. I'm pretty sure I'd be equally too lazy to tell a car where to go when I could just go there myself.
