Snobbery
First of all, VuPoint is not pronounced "View-Point"; it's pronounced Voo-Pont. And the scanner just goes by VuPoint, despite it's full name being Winston Arthur VuPoint III.
Secondly, it utilizes several transfer protocols, allowing you to connect it with a variety of different kinds of computers and portable devices. But it prefers to connect primarily with devices from European.
And finally, there's the scanning motion itself. Instead of running documents and photos through it, you simply press scan and gently move the wand across the item, a motion that Winston Arthur VuPoint III learned while studying dance at Juilliard.
So sure, use it to scan whatever trivial material you want, but we recommend that it is used for fancier things.

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
