Hey, Derrick, you wouldn't happen to have another Xtreme 6' HDMI Cable, would you? You know, one of the ones that consolidates video, audio, and data streams.

"Yeah, I bought a two-pack. Why?"

Oh, I was just asking because I kinda cut the other one in half...

"What?"

Well, you know how I get when I'm watching movies, right? It's like I can barely tell what's real and what's part of the show. Especially with the 3D home theater we have, which the Xtreme Cable totally supports, by the way...

"Yeah, I'm aware. After all, the cables and the TV are mine. Still, that doesn't explain why you cut the cable in half."

I'm getting there: anyway, so I'm watching this movie and I'm way into it, like, I practically feel like I'm in it, you know? Like, I'm not just watching something that, quality-wise, looks to be on par with a digital theater; I feel like I'm actually one of the characters. And so then there's this scene with a bomb and they've gotta cut the right wire and...

"Ah, I get it."

So, can I get that other cable?

"Sure."

Cool. Oh, and by the way, I rented a movie if you want to watch. It's called Out of Nowhere, and it's about a guy who has to kill this infestation of snakes that get into his house through a hole behind his television.

"Maybe let's watch something else."
